Hooked and Needled

This first exhibition by a group of dynamic women artists will surprise you with the scope and depth of their original craft work. Drawn together by a love of rug hooking and a shared interest in design and color and with a lively approach to their work, they have produced a vivid display of varied pieces to delight the eye. These include rug hooking, quilting, embroidery and appliqué from pocket-sized pieces to full-sized quilts. These works offer a modern spin on classic projects.

The focal point of the exhibition is the design by Susan Dundee which has been executed by each of the artists showing her own interpretation of the piece in a variety of mediums. As artists and teachers of our crafts, we are delighted to share our vision of the world.

The group is comprised of Susan Dundee, Caroline Jenner, Shelagh Lindley, Anne Lockhart, Sandra MacDonald, Joanne McVicker and Valerie Moore.

The opening reception for Hooks and Needles, Thread and Wool is at the Guild will be held on May 30th from 7-9 pm.
