CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS | ACTORS WHO ARE NON-BINARY For the upcoming summer festival season in Charlottetown, PE, The Guild is seeking submissions from actors with diverse gender identities, with a special interest in artists based on Prince Edward Island and in Atlantic Canada. The Guild is mounting a professional production of a soon-to-be-announced Canadian play that features a principal character who is non-binary. The Guild is therefore seeking to cast an artist who is non-binary or genderqueer. Outside dates are mid-June to early August. Union and non-union artists are encouraged to submit. Artists are asked to submit a resume and headshot, and are encouraged to include a message or cover letter introducing themselves. Submissions should be e-mailed to submissions@theguildpei.com no later than Thursday, March 25th, 2021 at 5:00pm. The Guild strives to present content and artists reflective of our diverse community. The Guild is working to engage new voices and talent, with a strong desire to advance opportunities for historically underrepresented and marginalized identities. The Guild accepts submissions from artists of all ethno-cultural backgrounds and gender identities, and celebrates the unique perspectives, histories, and experiences of each and every artist. This will be the second ever original Guild production, following Singalong Jubilee in 2019.
