Today we recognize the National celebration of Canada Day.
On this day, we encourage all Canadians to reflect on our nation’s shared history and the difficult truths of our past. We must acknowledge how the foundations of our country have disproportionality impacted indigenous lived experiences. As a National Arts Centre, we are committed to responding to the Truth and Reconciliation Commissions’ calls to action and continuing to work together on the path of reconciliation. We work in collaboration and friendship with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit artists and storytellers from across Canada to promote cultural learning and understanding.
Here are some ways we can all support, acknowledge and reflect on this Canada Day.
