A big part of our Sharing the Field event is sharing food ! We’ll have hot food prepared by Chef Emily Wells (available while quantities last) as well as our Pageant Community Garden Market Stand.
Menu will include pulled pork, vegetable barley salad, and veggie bean soup (df, gf). The Pageant Community Garden Farm Stand will have pumpkins, squash, beets, potatoes, carrots and more, all by donation! Our gardeners Debi Phipps and Fidel Wendt, alongside our Saturday morning Garden Club, have been tending to the garden all season, and there’s lots to share.
If you have any remaining produce from your own garden that you want to give away, feel free to bring it to the farm stand. All are welcome to help themselves to fresh produce for themselves or to donate to friends, neighbours, or your local food bank. Donations from the farm stand will go towards the North Rustico Food Bank.
