He can’t tell a lie.
She can’t face the truth.
Dancing Lessons is a humorous, touching story about finding love in unexpected places. Senga, a professional dancer with a potentially career-ending injury, is thrown for a loop when Ever, a geoscientist with Asperger’s syndrome, offers her an absurd sum of money to teach him how to dance. This is a funny, compelling and wonderfully complicated story about understanding ourselves and others.
“Dancing Lessons is so warm and fuzzy, so funny and authentic, that time seems to fly.” – Richmond Times Dispatch
“Tender, clear-eyed, and gently humorous, Mark St. Germain’s Dancing Lessons takes the usual romantic comedy formula—throw two misfits together who initially react like oil and water—and weaves this straw into fine gold bullion.” – Ithaca Times
“Laughs abound in this new play and so do those plucked heartstrings”. – The Berkshire Edge
Dancing Lessons opens at the Victoria Playhouse on June 22nd.
